How to Make a Copy

1. Sign In to the Printer

  • Tap Login: On the control panel screen, tap the Log In button (usually in the upper-right corner).

  • Authenticate: Enter your user ID = email address/PIN = print code on the touchscreen,


2. Place Your Original Document

  • Multiple Pages or Single Sheets: Load the originals face-up into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) on top. Adjust the paper guides so they fit snugly against the edges of the paper.

  • Single Pages, Books, or Delicate Media: Lift the document feeder and place the original face-down on the glass platen (align it to the top-left corner arrow). Close the cover.


3. Select the Copy App

  1. Press the physical Home button on the panel to bring up the main menu if needed.

  2. Tap the blue Copy app icon on the touchscreen.


4. Adjust Copy Options (Optional)

Before copying, configure your job settings on the screen:

  • Quantity: Tap the number box or use the touch keypad to enter the number of copies needed.

  • 2-Sided Copying:

    • 1 -> 1 Sided: Single-sided originals to single-sided copies.

    • 1 -> 2 Sided: Single-sided originals to double-sided copies.

    • 2 -> 2 Sided: Double-sided originals to double-sided copies.

  • Color / Black & White: Choose Auto Detect, Black & White, orColor (if color printing is enabled on your machine).

  • Paper Supply: Select a specific tray or leave it on Auto Select.

  • Reduce / Enlarge: Scale your document size up or down if needed.


5. Start Copying

  1. Press the green Start / Copy button on the touchscreen or control panel.

  2. Collect your original document and printed copies from the output tray when finished.

  3. Log Out: Tap your user icon/name at the top right and select Log Out to secure the machine for the next user.
