1. Physical Setup

  1. Position the Camera: Hold the base of the document camera with one hand while lifting the arm with the other. Adjust and position the camera head directly above your intended display/projection area.

  2. Power Connections:

    • Connect the AC power adapter cable to the power port on the back/side of the ELPDC21 document camera.

    • Plug the power cord into a wall outlet or surge protector.

    • Ensure the projector is also plugged in and connected to its power source.

2. Cable Connections (VGA)

  1. Connect VGA Cable:

    • Plug one end of the standard VGA cable into the VGA Out (or VGA Output) port on the ELPDC21 document camera.

    • Plug the opposite end of the VGA cable into the VGA slot located on the wall mount port for the projector.

  2. Secure the Screws: Tighten the thumb screws on both ends of the VGA connectors to prevent loose connection issues or signal drops.

3. Power On & Source Selection

  1. Turn on the Document Camera: Press the Power button on the document camera control panel. The power LED light around the button will turn solid blue.

Note: It takes roughly 15 seconds for the camera to start outputting a signal after powering on.

  2. Turn on the Projector: Press the Power button on the projector or its remote control.

  3. Select the Projector Input:

    • On the projector remote or control panel, press the Source or Source Search button.

    • Select the VGA/Computer input port where you plugged in the cable (e.g., Computer 1 or VGA).

  4. Select Camera Output (If Needed): On the document cameras' control panel, make sure the Source is set to display the camera feed rather than a connected pass-through PC.

4. Image Adjustment

  • Place Document: Position your paper or object under the camera head.

  • Light Switch: Slide the LED light switch on the camera head IF illumination is needed.

  • Focus: Press the Focus / Auto Focus button on the document camera to sharpen the image automatically.

  • Zoom: Use the Zoom wheel or buttons on the camera to scale the document properly on the projected screen.
